The Victim Of Society

As I take this journey of self change to help make me a better person and a better leader, I was in my learning zone and my mentor discussed a topic that I want to talk about a little more and the topic was being a victim of society. Now my mentor gave great examples to help me understand the meaning in being a victim to society but not only did he explain by example he also gave a solution to the problem we all as individuals face. Now most are not like me and everyone doesn’t have my story, for those that would like to learn a little more about me you can check out one of my latest post called ” A Little Information About Stephanie Ray” by me of course. For those that have been faithfully following and becoming more wiser yourself let’s continue this journey we started and my next topic is the victim of society. Now there are a lot of ways this topic can be explained so we are going to start are the main topic, those that know me make sure to leave a comment so I can get your feed back. What makes someone a victim to society? My answer is lack of awareness and lack of knowledge. Now what do I mean when I say this, we as a society are trained to learn the old school way, you go to school, your teacher gives you an assignment out of a book, and you study take a test and are suppose to pass we have been trained to think the answers will be given to you, some may agree but that’s another topic, I’m focusing on the waiting part.

Most individuals sit around in life waiting on the next big thing to happen for them.

Now did you pay attention to the main picture I put at the beginning of this post? It reads “when writing the story of your life, don’t let anyone else hold the pen”. This is a powerful statement and falls into what I’m trying to say we can’t continue to fall victim to society. The picture with the fake person behind bars is a visual affect of how we are a victim to society. The habits we form that we pass down to our children makes a big difference if we fall victim to society or rise above it. How we go about training those that are stuck in the “modern” way of living is by example. Yes you may have come from a messed up back ground but if you look at any famous athlete, artist, or actress they never allowed the circumstances from which they came from dictate there future. Same goes for any regular individual in society. The examples are there the question is are you willing to pay attention. For those that follow (thanks for your support) you remember the blog I wrote called “How To Find A Mentor” and I explained the importance of having a mentor to guide you in the path you wish to go in life. For those that don’t know take the time out to read that blog.

The Victim Of Society

Becoming a victim of society is not by choice most of us are born in a crazy environment which cause us to stay a victim to society, but as we get older and become more aware of the things around us, we can’t blame are parents or where we come from on why we never changed our ways. I’m only 27 and I’m so glad I’m figuring this out now rather than later, but it’s ok for those who do figure it out later because at least your becoming more aware and realize something needs to change in order to make your outcome different than what it has been. You see we all have a choice we can stay a victim to society or rise above it.

I’m going to repeat myself because studies have shown hearing something at least seven times you will begin remembering it, so once again we have the choice to stay a victim to society or we can rise above it!

Just wanted to give you the topic I was thinking about today I want you to take the time and elaborate on your life and see what traits you have as being a victim to society and how can you go about changing those habits as my mentor asked me so I’m asking you the same question. The power of learning makes you more wiser in any decision in life. So please take the time out to really answer this question leave me a brief comment on this topic and for those apart of my group we can elaborate more on this topic tonight.
